9 years ago today, I became
Mrs. Motor Man. Motor Woman. I became Motor Man’s wife. We were married on 02-02-02 at 2:02.
We both liked that date. I thought it was romantic with all the 2’s. He wanted a wedding date that was easy to remember. So far, that’s been working out well for him.
We were given permission to be married in Bacon’s Castle, which made the day even more special.
Just before the ceremony, a nervous groom, a happy bride, and her handsome son, ready to escort her “down the aisle”.
This photo was taken by my brother-in-law, Mike, during the ceremony. Since we didn’t have attendants, Motor Man put my wedding ring on his finger until time to put it on mine. This picture has always been one of my favorites.
Our reception was held at Smithfield Station, a local restaurant. That began a tradition; we celebrate our anniversary there each year.
Happy Anniversary, Motor Man! Somehow I love you even more now than I did on 02-02-02.
