Last summer, I purchased a Texas Star Hibiscus from one of the regular vendors at our local farmers market. It was probably about two feet tall at the time.
I planted it just outside our bedroom window and have done absolutely nothing to it: no water, no fertilizer, nothing.

It’s now over 8 feet tall now, and has had at least 50 blooms over the past few weeks. And there are still more buds left to open.

I cut one of the blooms earlier this summer and placed it in a vase. It’s such an amazing bloom with the green in the center of the red petals.

And a picture of my hand beside it for size reference.

I’ve given a couple of these plants as birthday gifts this summer and I’m hoping the recipients will enjoy them as much as we are enjoying ours.
