My regular readers (thank you) know how much I love bluebirds. It was just a few years ago that we began putting out meal worms and enjoying those beautiful flashes of blue in our yard.
In the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen some babies (the correct term is ‘immature’) and have seen the parents feeding them several times. Poppa on the right, baby on the left:
It’s been fun watching the babies who haven’t quite figured out how to maneuver the bluebird feeder.
Poppa was busy feeding both babies. They were all perched on the wire of our Edison solar lights.
I think one of the babies has figured out the situation. This feeder was gifted to me by a former classmate and friend.
