For those of you who aren’t aware, today is the National Day Of The Horse. And for those of you who know me, you know that it is definitely a day I recognize.
My love of horses came much later in life than most ‘girl’s’, so I needed to make up a lot of time.
For the past few years, my friend, Darcy, has allowed me come visit and ride pretend to ride her beautiful horses. Motor Man and I went there last Saturday and had our Christmas dress-up visit. This is ‘my teaching horse’, Val. He’s the most gentle, patient horse I’ve ever known (not that I’ve known many…).

Darcy and her husband made the wooden Christmas tree and snowman that were perfect for our photo op.
My Motor Man was such a good sport, dressed up in his Santa suit.

Darcy’s two Gypsy horses have been trained to sit on a huge beanbag. How cute is this; Messiah and me just chilling?

I ‘took a nap’, and Messiah joined me.

Then Chevelle tried to nudge me awake.

Darcy created this, using a photo app, and I just think it is so sweet. I seem to be part of a Christmas table-top scene.

Thanks to my Motor Man, Darcy and her husband, Ken, AND their horses for making this ‘little girl’s’ day so special.
