Catch A Flake
Remember winters when you were young:
and catching snowflakes on your tongue.
Then Mom would call, you’d come ‘melting’ in,
but couldn’t wait to go back out again.
Your fingers were numb, and so were your toes,
and you were sporting a “Rudolph” nose.
Then we grew up, and snow wasn’t fun;
it was hard to travel and get things done.
But here’s something you need to hear today:
your inner child still wants to play.
So the next time it snows, for old times’ sake,
let’s run outside and ‘catch a flake’.
