Holiday Recap, By Gypsy

Hello, efurryone. This is Gypsy, Motor Man and Motor Mommy’s shop kitty. It’s been a furry long time since I’ve taken over blog-writing duties.

I wanted to share with you about our holidays.  It was mostly a happy time for our family, but we had one bit of sadness.

First the ups:

Since I am a nice, not naughty, girl (especially around Christmas time), I let M’Mommy put this silly little Santa hat on me for a picture. But I knew Santa Claws may be watching, and I needed to show him what a good girl I am.

And, Santa did come to see me!  He brought me a new, much needed scratching post.  I had just about destroyed the one I’d had since my kitten-hood.  I approved of the new one and immediately went to work claiming it as my own.

Santa also brought me a “whack-a-mole” game, which I liked for a little while. M’Man reminded M’Mommy that I AM a senior kitty, and playing isn’t as impawtant as it was when I was younger.

And now for the sad news. M’ Man and M’Mommy took my ‘sis-fur’, Sundae, to the vet the week before Christmas to help her cross over Rainbow Bridge,  Although Sundae and I had never met in purrson, I know how much she was loved. Sundae was nearly 15 years old, and adopted our pawrents almost 13 years ago.  She was always included in the family holiday photos. At Thanksgiving, although she was napping, M’Man suggested that they wake her for a picture, because she wasn’t in good health.  Now they’re really glad they did.

And M’Mommy was sure to get a picture of Sundae under the tree this year. It was her favorite spot to be during the Christmas season.

I know my pawrents miss Sundae furry much, and since I’m their only kitty now,  I’m giving them extra lovies to help them through their sadness. (That’s what us kitties do, right?)

  1. Much love……………………

  2. Awww. Thanks for sharing.

  3. We do take care of our pawrents that’s for sure Gypsy – they do the same for us. I know that your Mom and Dad miss Sundae but she is in their hearts forever and even though you never met her, I know she’s also in yours!

  5. So nice to hear from you, Gypsy! You are looking great. Sounds like you had a good Christmas. Yes, I was sorry to hear about your sister. I know you will continue to give your parents lots of love.

  6. Thank you for bringing us up to date Gypsy. We know Sundae gave and received much love, just as you do. Purrs and purrayers and Power of the Paw to you all.
