Here’s my poem:
No Vacation
I know you’re curious, but don’t even ask;
this vacation’s going downhill fast.
Here I sit in a chair in the sand,
holding a fruity little drink in my hand.
No snorkeling for me, but I’m sporting the gear;
folks just laugh when they see me sitting here.
The doctor is saying that I will be fine,
and wrote me a prescription for more ‘island time’.
