We spent our anniversary at Snowshoe Ski Resort last weekend: no skiing, but some equine interaction.
For several years, we’ve been going to Autumn Breeze Stables (owned by Skip and Peggy) there at Snowshoe. That all started as a result of some research for sleigh rides.
On Saturday, Peggy and I went for a trail ride. This is Belle.

Skip loaned me a ‘trapper hat’, because the hood of my coat was so big, it prevented me from seeing well. Motor Man waited for me in the warmth of our vehicle, and snapped this as I rode by. It was c-c-c-old.

The weather warmed up and the breeze died down on Sunday for our buggy ride. (There wasn’t enough snow for a sleigh ride.) We’d never ridden in the buggy, so that was a new experience.

One of my friends said the buggy looked to be “Little House On The Prairie’ vintage.

This is Flash, who pulls the sleigh and/or buggy.

Peggy rode with us, too, so we had a double date buggy ride. Skip always takes videos and photos and shares them to Facebook. I’m going to attempt to share a video taken during our ride, but I wasn’t able to load it to You-tube, so I’m not sure how this will work. Hopefully, you will be able to view it.
Thank you, Peggy and Skip, for helping us celebrate our anniversary once again.
