It’s Thursday, which means poetry here on These Days. Each week, we join our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats, where they host Poetic Thursday. We share a poem written about the photo they gave us the prior week.
This was our inspiration for today’s poetry:

Here’s my poem:
Let’s Pretend
That little girl just loves to pretend;
her imagination has no end.
Dad thinks it’s fun, she makes him smile.
He knows she’s young for a very short while.
One day, his daughter surprised him and said:
“Let’s pretend a pancake lands on your head!”
Mom was there to take pics of it all.
Who had the most fun? Too close to call.
~These Days Of Mine~

Cute poem! I just love this picture – I know it was staged and I know it was “adjusted” but it’s the things it makes me FEEL that were the reason I chose it for Poetry Thursday!
Pam (and Teddy too)
LOVE the FUN written all of this picture and poem! They do grow up so fast, but that little girl’s expression will always be remembered – even staged. Starts my day with a smile on my face and in my heart.
Great poem for this one ! - you really came up with a tale for it !
What a cute picture. The poem is perfect for it!
