Poetic Thursday: Rescued

It’s Thursday again, and time for some poetry. Our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats, gave us this picture last week for our inspiration:

And here’s my poem:

Rescued

They fight like brothers, and play like friends;
around here, the action never ends.

With wagging tails and slobbery kisses,
that’s how they greet their ‘Mister’ and ‘Missus’.

Days at the shelter, they were so afraid,
but now, they know they’ve got it made.

‘Mister’ and ‘Missus’ had an empty nest,
and they knew that doggies would fill it the best.

Adoption day was a dream come true;
but we have to wonder: just who rescued who?

  1. I’m pretty sure that every time I’ve adopted a cat all these years they’ve rescued me as much as I’ve rescued them…..life for me has always been happier with a pet – a wonderful symbiotic relationship!  Love your poem – Love watching animals play – they have such “abandon” don’t they.

  2. Sweet thought on who was rescue and sweet take on their play!

  3. Another good one !!

    So much personality in those eyes …
