There are about a dozen Mallards who frequent our yard. And we make sure to have corn available for them.
This picture was taken through our storm door one morning earlier this week.
They’ve learned to climb the three steps to our deck, so they don’t have to compete with the Canada geese for their breakfast (lunch and/or dinner). I have a couple of fine china dishes out there for their dining pleasure.
I love how tame they are, but sometimes it’s a challenge driving into our garage when we get home. They know that’s where we keep the goods corn.

Jut be grateful that mallard crew has no way to sneak into the garage……that corn would vanish in no time!
