Last week, we celebrated my birthday, and this Sunday we celebrate Marshall’s. So my memories this week take me back to that June ‘just a few’ years ago.
I had some health issues during my pregnancy, so it was touch and go there for a little while. Having had a miscarriage the year before just added to the stress. Marshall was born five weeks early, spent three days in our local childrens’ hospital and another week in the hospital where he was born.
What a joyful day when we could finally bring him home. It’s hard to remember just how tiny he was: 5 pounds, 9 ounces.

But, my how the years have flown. And I love the man that tiny baby has grown to be and just how close his, mine and Motor Man’s relationship is.
