Sparks On Monday: Keeping It Simple

“SPARKS” was started by Annie McGuffy of McGuffy’s Reader but ended when she stopped blogging some time ago. It was meant to be a way to start out each week with a meaningful thought – something that spoke to each of us and hopefully everyone else who reads it. Although Annie isn’t currently blogging,  a lot of us who enjoyed her SPARKS decided to keep posting SPARKS of our own.

I haven’t participated in Sparks recently, AND although I’ve shared this one before, the message is worthy of a repeat.

It’s a great reminder that we don’t need all the hustle and bustle, an elaborately  decorated home and yard….it will still be Christmas without all those things.

And, when it comes to Christmas, I believe that simple really is better.

  1. Glad you joined in SPARKS today……and I totally agree with your message…..the first Christmas was very simple and extremely special and our Christmas celebrations can be the same. No sense in spending all our time putting up decorations when the main thing is family and friends and remembering the “reason for the season” !

  3. Love it and what a great message! I miss Annie! Do you have an email or anything for her? I wanted to send her a note sometime to check in and thought about her months ago and couldn’t find any info. Message me privately if you have any contact info. Thanks!

  4. I LOVE the JOY that Sparks brings, and the message about Christmas is perfect.
