While we’re relaxing from the holiday celebrations, let’s have a little poetry fun. This is a weekly event for us, joining our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats, for Poetic Thursday.
They provided us with this photo for today’s inspiration:

Wow. I can’t imagine the work involved in THAT display, and the thought of disassembling it and packing it away just gives me a headache.
But here’s my poem:
The Christmas Neighbors
Christmas decorating is just a cinch;
in our yard, we cover every inch.
Our neighbors enjoy it and think it’s fun;
now Christmas is over, there’s work to be done.
We’ll pack it all away, but never fear:
we’re planning even bigger and better next year.

Good one! Hard to imagine “bigger and better” than that display isn’t it – maybe when they get the electric bill they’ll settle for “smaller and reasonable” ?? Probably not!
Pam
“bigger” ? they’ll be in the neighbor’s(s) yards ; )
I’m with you – exhausted just imagining the work and energy that went into that display. I’m a smaller decoration person too.
Merry Christmas!
