Saturday morning, I glanced out of our bedroom window and spotted a squirrel enjoying the sunflower seeds I’d put out the day before. Guess he didn’t get the memo that it’s a BIRD feeder and not easily accessible for squirrels.
“Thank you, ma’am for these yummy sunflower seeds.”
As you can see, he wasn’t deterred in the least by the difficulty, and promptly dumped all the seeds on the ground.
And then decided to rest a while… in the feeder.
Those little critters are nothing if not entertaining.

Squirrels are endlessly entertaining aren’t they – no matter what the weather. Our bird feeder has a mesh outer covering and our squirrel acrobats love hanging from their toes down to get their fill of bird food from the bottom of the feeder. Love watching them – and the feeder is large enough there’s still plenty of room for birds!
