Happy Monday, efurryone! Coco, here, checking in again with Motor Mommy’s blog followers.
Several of you have asked for an update on how I’ve adjusted to my new home. (To recap: I was adopted by Motor Man and Motor Mommy on December 21. My previous owners had to rehome me due to a medical issue in the family.)
I’m doing very well here! I’m just not curious enough to leave ‘my room’ all that often, and Motor Mommy doesn’t understand that. She’s never had a kitty like me before. (Hello!… I AM one of a kind!) The truth is: I’m very content here in my room. It’s the first room I was introduced to when I got here, and it’s very comfy. I have a big, soft bed with lots of ‘blankies’, my own private facilities, and my food dispenser and water fountain nearby. I also have a nice kitty bed on the trunk at the foot of the ‘human’ bed.
Motor Man has been very patient while waiting for me to get accustomed to him. I’ve come a long way since the early days when I’d scurry under the bed whenever I heard his voice, or he came near. As you can see, my kitty bed ‘runneth over’. Motor Mommy says now we just need Marshall to visit a little more, so I can get to know him, too.
Every once in a while, I overhear Motor Mommy mention that I’m due for an ‘appointment’ soon. One day recently, she came home with this adorable thingy and plopped it on my bed. So I obliged her by checking it out. I like it! She told Motor Man that their friend and fellow kitty-lover, Bruce, said: “She won’t like it after you take her to the vet in it the first time!”. Hmmm. should I be worried? I don’t like that ‘vet’ word.
One little habit I have that Motor Mommy thinks is so cute is, if she stops petting me, I reach out my paw to her to ask her to continue. She’s never had a kitty to do that before…. I repeat: I AM one of a kind!
I’m not ashamed to admit it: I think I love her.

So, yes, I am very happy here, and one day I will join them in other parts of the house. When? Well, I’m going to let that be a surprise, but I know we’ll share that info with you when it happens.
