Yesterday, I glanced out of our bedroom window and caught a glimpse of that undeniable blue.

When I first saw it, Daddy Bluebird was feeding the little one. But by the time I grabbed the camera and turned back around, Poppa had left the scene. “Hey, where’d he go?”

Baby was patiently waiting for the rest of its dinner. “I sure hope he comes back soon. I’m still hungry.“

If you were to only see the babies from the front, you may not realize they’re bluebirds. But the brilliant blue of those tailfeathers is a dead give-away.
Time to buy more mealworms for these beauties!

textbook example of what I like to refer to as “epic blue” – hard to define, but I know it when I see it !
Bluebirds are one my favorites, but I don’t think I’ve ever noticed the babies like you have captured. Love them!
