Monday Morning Mews: Stressful Week

Happy Monday, readers!  Coco, here, with today’s news mews.

Last week was a rather stressful one for my pawrents. You may have read here that my step sisfur, Gypsy, had surgery last Monday.  That night was my first one alone here since being adopted by the “Motor family”.  They stayed at the office with her that night, and I completely understood.

According to Motor Mommy, Gypsy’s doing well. She has a good appetite, and greets them when they come to the office.  They’ve been checking on her much more often on their days off than they did in the past.

Later in the week, Motor Mommy was doing laundry and put a full load of towels in the dryer.  After just a few minutes, the dryer stopped working.  And the repairman can’t come until Thursday.

Even later in the week, Motor Mommy accidentally dropped her cell phone in water. She had to go get a new one (she’s grateful for insurance), but so far, she hasn’t been able to access any of the info in her old one.

So, with all that going on in her life, I’ve been staying extra close.

That’s okay, Motor Mommy, I’m here.  Just relax to the sound of my purrs, and I’ll make you some ‘biscuits’.

Kitties are very good at comforting our hoomans during stressful times.

  1. Our pets are so tuned into us they know when we are in “extra” need of their attention and love. Teddy just SENSES that with us after all these years and sticks close to whichever one of us is stressed. We give them that extra attention and they return it in their way. Isn’t that GREAT?! Too bad about your phone but thankfully insurance kicked in with a new one. Putting all that info together again would drive me nuts! LOL Happy Monday!

  2. I think their ears are antennae – they really can pick up on our emotions and moods ….

  3. We’re glad Gypsy is doing well. Our HuMom’s cellphone died and there was no way to access all her contact info…until she poked around and found a setting for The Cloud…all her contacts had been stored there and came right back to her new phone. Have your Mama check out that possibility.

  4. You are definitely a Komfort Kitty and you do your job well!
