Poetic Thursday: Box Car

It’s time again for Poetic Thursday, a little meme hosted each week by our friends, Pam, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats.

Last week, they gave us this photo for our inspiration for today’s poetry:

And here’s my poem:

Box Car

Our neighbor, Fred, had a project in mind,
so we collected boxes of all kinds.

There were square ones, rectangles, mailing tubes, too,
as we wondered just what Fred was going to do.

One day, he said: well, folks, she’s all done.
Come on over and see: this’ll be fun!

It’s the strangest thing we’ve seen, by far:
Fred now has his very own ‘box car’.

  1. “one box at at a time, and it didn’t cost me a dime..” ? ; )

  2. Love it! Very clever! It’s a wacky photo with lots of wacky possiblities but I kept thinking that I would NOT want to be driving behind it on the beltway. What a MESS it would make when all those “decorations” would fall off!! LOL

  3. Oh what FUN!!!!
