I’ve shared before here on the blog about going to our friends, Darcy and Ken’s, place to visit and ride their horses. Motor Man and I usually visit them about once a month. And if there’s a holiday that month, we dress up and we’ll plop some embellishments on their very patient horses.
We went to see them Monday, and we celebrated with bunny ears and Easter baskets. Darcy had purchased a bunny costume, which just added to the fun.
Motor Man was first to ‘be the bunny’, while I rode Val.
Then Ken, the bunny, rode his horse, Messiah.
Darcy donned the bunny outfit and rode her horse, Chevelle. One thing we all learned very quickly: that bunny head is a challenge to wear. You really can’t see out of it very well, and it’s HOT in there.
I had a turn on Messiah. He is so beautiful and well mannered.
And his fifth birthday was just a few days ago, so we celebrated him with his own horsey cake.
Ken snapped this one of Darcy and me. We just have so much fun with the horses.
Motor Man took this one. Just look at all those bunny ears. I was laughing because Motor Man was also wearing bunny ears, and they had slipped forward over his eyes.
After our fun morning with the horses, the four of us went to lunch and celebrated Darcy’s upcoming birthday.
The weather was perfect, and we had the best time. Lots of pictures were taken and fun memories made.
