Although I’ve never visited Washington, D.C. during the Cherry Blossom event, we have plenty of those gorgeous trees in our area of southeast Virginia to enjoy.
This one is in our development, just a couple of minutes from our house. It’s in the yard of a home belonging to a cousin of mine and her husband. I stopped and took this picture through my windshield yesterday morning.*
I don’t recall there ever being a spring that this tree wasn’t absolutely beautiful with those delicate blossoms.
* Perhaps the title of today’s post should be “Windshield Wednesday”.
