My blog is two years old today. I guess that makes it a toddler.
A few days ago, I started thinking of all the ways we can compare a blog to a child:
1.) It/he is something we create.
2.) We decide on a name for it/him.
3.) We watch constantly for signs that it/he is growing.
4.) We smile when people say nice things about it/him.
5.) We feel proud when awards are bestowed upon it/him.
6.) We worry when it/he isn’t doing well.
7.) We enjoy sharing it/him with others.
8.) It/he is in our thoughts everyday (and in the middle of the night).
9.) We neglect(ed) housework to spend time with it/him.
10.) And last but not least…
…we celebrate birthdays.
