Poetic Thursday: Prissy

Since it’s Thursday, it’s time for poetry. As usual, we’re joining Pam and her kitties, Teddy, and Angel Sammy for Poetic Thursday.

We were given this cute photo for inspiration:

Here’s my poem:

Prissy

Dress-up time with Mommy’s shoes.
They’re WAY too big: what do I do?

Daddy says: “Not yet, Missy!
You’re too young to be so prissy.”

Sorry, Daddy, it’s too late.
I’m getting dressed for my first date.

Soon you’ll be walking me down the aisle.
Mommy, what just happened to Daddy’s smile?”

  1. Awww. That was perfect!
In the blink of an eye your children are grown!

  2. Good one for this photo! I just loved this when I found it – I think today will be a good day for reading everyone’s poetic contributions!!

  3. Made me laugh – brought tears to my eyes! Perfect and true sentiment. I think I recognize those ruffles – didn’t all us gals have them?

  4. Isn’t it the truth? In just no time they go from diapers to high heels.

  5. Prissy rolls, too !! ; )

  7. You’re poem gave me a nice chuckle. Well done, you. 🙂
