Poetic Thursday: Skating

Thursday again, poetry again. We’re joining our friend, Pam and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats, for Poetic Thursday.

They provided us this picture for inspiration:

And here’s my poem:

Skating

When he first saw her, she was on skates.
He ordered a burger, fries and a shake.

He had to do it; he took a chance
and asked her to go with him to the dance.

She said yes, that was just the start:
she skated her way right into his heart.

  1. Awwww…..PERFECT POEM! I remember one of the places I used to frequent in the old days the car hops wore skates and I also remember seeing more than one of them fall with food trays before getting to the car! EEEK! What a fun memory it is though having food delivered to the car. Sweet days.
