I’ll begin this post by saying that we were extremely fortunate in our encounter with Ian. It’s easy to realize that when we see photos of areas that were hardest hit.
The worst part of our ordeal was a few hours of strong winds Friday evening. It was scary wondering if and when we’d lose our electricity or a tree would fall (possibly on our house).
We only lost a few small limbs.
And we had a few high tides which left lots of debris.
The tide was almost up to my little bicycle.
But Ian apparently isn’t done with us yet. He’s circling back around, bringing us more winds and even higher tidal flooding over the next couple of days.
And hurricane season goes til the end of November….
