Poetic Thursday: Playtime

Time for the first Poetic Thursday of September. Each week, our friend, Pam and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, who blog at Two Spoiled Cats, give us a photo to inspire us to write a poem.

This was their photo for today:

And here’s my poem:

Playtime

Human and animal kids think the same;
to them, everything in life is a game.

Toys to play with, toys to ride;
fun in the snow, playing outside.

Without even trying, they have a way
of finding some fun in every day.

We adults should try to live by the saying:
“we only grow old because we stop playing”.

  1. Amen!!! We should never stop playing! Besides, it’s so much fun!

  2. More words of wisdom here !

  3. Sweet poem……I have always loved pandas – used to go to the Panda House FIRST when we would go to the zoo in D.C. They are natural comedians.
