Poetry time again. If you’re new here, each week, our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, host Poetic Thursday on their blog, Two Spoiled Cats. The week prior, they give us a photo to use as inspiration for our poem. This is the photo for today:

I have a little story about this photo: Motor Man and I first saw it several years ago when a friend shared it with us. He did so because of the striking resemblance this little guy has to our mutual buddy, Lugnut. Maybe it isn’t so much that he LOOKS like Lugnut, perhaps it’s just the motorcycle shirt, the ‘tattoos’ and the mustache/beard. I’ve mentioned Lugnut a few times here on the blog, and shared this post back in 2019. You can read that post by clicking here.
And just for reference, here’s a photo of Lugnut holding a miniature bike that Motor Man made for him a couple of years ago.

And now, my poem for today, dedicated to Lugnut:
When I Grow Up
I may be young, but I know what I like,
and when grow up, I’m gettin’ a bike.
Not one that you pedal, but one that takes gas;
Mom’s hoping this fascination won’t last.
I’ll wear boots, a helmet, and leathers, too,
because that’s just what us bikers do.
Maybe I’ll race at a track or just ride with friends.
That’s years away, but it’s fun to pretend.
Yeah, I’m just a kid, but I tell you what:
when I grow up, I’m gonna be Lugnut.
