Poetic Thursday: Wrinkles

Welcome to another Thursday, another day of poetry here at These Days.  Our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats, gave us this photo for today’s inspiration:

Here’s my poem:

Wrinkles

Yes, we have wrinkles, not that we care;
but they do accompany us everywhere.

I can see his, and he can see mine.
If we said we didn’t, well, we’d be lyin’.

They evolved as we travelled many miles,
but these wrinkles could never dim our smiles.

  1. Love is forever……..wrinkles and all. I loved this photo when I found it and knew it would inspire some sweet poetry!

  2. Underneath the wrinkles are two hearts still full of love for each other. 🙂

  3. “mine” & “lyin'” … bravo !

  4. AWWW! Absolutely the sweetest. I’ve heard wrinkles/lines described as the accumulation of all the experiences we’ve had in life.

    The Love in those two is obvious.

  5. Wrinkles are part of our stories, right? Lives well lived!
