Good morning, efurryone! Coco here with news of an upcoming milestone for my family. This Saturday, we celebrate the first anniversary of my ‘Gotcha Day’.
(If you’re new here and don’t know my background: I was rehomed when a former family member became severely allergic.)
Last December, Motor Mommy learned on a community social media page about me needing a new home, and she contacted my owners. They brought me to Motor Man and Motor Mommy’s shop, so we could meet on December 21.
Here’s the very first pic of Motor Mommy holding me:
I was so very frightened and confused. But I sensed that she loved me from that very first moment. Once they took me home, she spent LOTS of time letting me get to know her. I spent several weeks in the guest room, even though the door was left open.
For reasons that my pawrents don’t understand, it took me longer to be comfortable around Motor Man. He was very patient, and would visit me in the guest room. And soon, I realized that he’s a good guy.
They were both so happy when I cautiously began exploring other parts of the house.
And now, it’s obviously MY home, too!
I am so very happy here with my ‘Motor” family. Happy First Gotcha Day to me!
