It’s the last Poetic Thursday of January. Our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats, gave us this poignant image for our inspiration for today’s poetry:

Here’s my poem:
Love Being You
I looked in the mirror and what did I see?
My young-woman-self looking back at me.
I said: “I am winter, you are spring;
we can’t know what the years will bring.”
Her whispered reply, words soft and true:
“When I grow up, I’m going to love being you.”
~These Days Of Mine~

Excellent poem and it reflects what a lot of think when we look in the mirror if we just look at ourselves with honest eyes. Getting old can be graceful or not depending on US. What we see is what we are……and what we are is what we see. You my friend obviously love being you – as I love being me. We are two of the lucky ones!
Hugs, Pam
