Coco: Good morning, readers. Today, I’m passing off the blog writing to Motor Mommy. She has some info she’d like to share with everyone.
Motor Mommy: Thanks, Coco, for donating your space today.
Most of my readers know that I’m really good friends with our blogging buddy, Pam, at Two Spoiled Cats. Pam and I began blogging around the same time (in 2010!) and we quickly became good friends. She and her hubby, Dave, live about three hours from us. The four of us have met several times for lunch, and we’re currently overdue for a visit. But, on a more regular basis, Pam and I email each other several times a day. I consider her a very special friend.
BUT, if you follow Pam’s blog, and wonder why she hasn’t posted in the past two weeks, the reason is that they’re experiencing ‘technical difficulties’. The company they were using for internet and phone notified them a few weeks ago that they would soon no longer be servicing their area.
So Pam and her hubby contacted another provider, and employees from that company came and began the process of changing everything to the new system. Meanwhile, the old company disconnected their service! And for whatever the reason, the new company hasn’t been back to complete the job. This snafu has been going on for over two weeks. Customer service definitely ‘ain’t what it used to be’.
If you’re a follower and/or a friend of Pam, you know how much she enjoys communicating with everyone. We’re hoping that this issue will be resolved very soon! I’m sure she can’t wait to be back in touch with ‘the world’, and we all miss her dearly.

Motor Man, me, Pam and her hubby, Dave. This was a few years ago after one of our lunch gatherings.

Thanks for keeping us informed. We sure miss them.
Never good to be off the grid … hopefully things will be back up and running soon !
hopefully it’s fixed soon
My ISP is Frontier, on my landline with a phone # I’ve had since 1973. They notified us a couple weeks ago that all landlines will be ending by October. Frontier offers fiber optic internet – but it isn’t available in my area (rural NEOhio). Coincidentally (?) my internet was out over the weekend, and now seems to be flickering in and out for no reason (no, one of the cats is not napping on the router) . I have been wondering who Pam’s ISP was .
Old provider was Verizon. New one is Xfinity/Comcast
Uh-oh. Frontier has merged with Verizon, who is my cell-phone service. I have not had problems with them but they don’t offer fiber optic internet either.)
One has to wonder how a drop like this can occur this day and time when everyone and everything is so internet/technology driven. Yep, “service ain’t what it used to be”. Hope she gets resolution soon.
Whew – it’s unbelievable that her internet provider just quit servicing the area where she lives. Fingers crossed that she gets a new provider and that her blog is up and running very soon.
