Monday Morning Mews

Happy Monday, efurryone!  Sundae –  back with you after a little break last week while we celebrated Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day.

Today, I’m sharing pictures Motor Mommy took a couple of weeks ago. She came home one afternoon to find me lounging snoozing on the bed in “The Donna Room”.

We call it that because, when Mommy’s niece, Donna, comes to visit from Texas, that’s her room.

And sometimes, Mommy’s friend, Donna, spends the night when there’s a special weekend event happening in town.

Mommy took these pictures with her cell phone in order to “capture the moment”, so they aren’t quite as sharp as those taken with a camera.

I like to spend time in “The Donna Room” whenever I can.

(Actually. any bed, chair or sofa is fair game when I’m ready for a nap.)

Monday Morning Mews: Twins!

Good morning, efurryone! Another Monday has rolled around, and it’s Sundae, here to bring you this morning’s mews.

We had some excitement around our house a few days ago.  Motion outside the bedroom window caught Motor Mommy’s eye, and when she realized what it was, she was so surprised.

Tiny twin fawns!

She apologizes for the poor photo quality: these were taken through the windowpane.

Motor Mommy said those babies aren’t much bigger than me. (Look at that cute little face.)

I could tell that it was something that definitely needed my attention, too. So I quickly made my way to the window and jumped up on the sill for a better look.

Yes, Motor Mommy realizes that those babies will be eating her plants, but she just couldn’t help but think they’re so cute.

I plan to do my best to alert Mom whenever they’re out in the yard by “chattering” at them.  Of course, I do that when I see squirrels…or birds…or rabbits…or hummingbirds.  Maybe I could come up with a special “baby deer chatter”, sort of like a special ring tone?

Monday Morning Mews – True Confessions

Hi, readers. This is Sundae with today’s mews.  As the title shows, today is all about confessions.

I’ll go first:

1.) Sometimes when Motor Man isn’t at home, I’ll take over his spot on the bed. Never Motor Mommy’s side….just his. But shhhh, don’t tell him: it will just be our little secret. Do I look guilty?

2.) Motor Mommy gave me an old wooden box for all my kitty toys. Sometimes, when my pawrents are gone from home all day, I’ll take out a toy. Usually, it’s my favorite: a striped stocking (formerly a Christmas tree ornament). But, sometimes, if they’re gone a REALLY long time, they come home to find more than one toy out of the box.  Sunday was a “two-toy day”. The octopus belonged to their former kitty, Beezy. What’s odd is that I’ve never let them SEE me take a toy from the box…..sneaky!

3.) Also, a couple of nights ago, Motor Mommy was having some crackers and hummus, and I was very interested. She gave me a tiny little taste of the hummus, and I liked it!  She says I’m not allowed to have much, though, because “people food” isn’t good for me.

So do YOU have any confessions you’d like to make today?   It’s good for the soul, you know.

Monday Morning Mews

Hello, efurryone.  Today’s mews brought to you by me: Gypsy.

We have a very funny picture to share with you today, but it needs a little “set up”.

Whenever a box is delivered to our shop, it’s my job to investigate said box. Well, yes, Motor Man opens it and takes out the contents, but still….I must inspect the empty box.

Earlier in the day that these photos were taken, our area had been under a tornado warning. So when Motor Man saw me in this box, he asked me if it were my “fallout shelter”.

Motor Mommy thought this was cute.

And then, she got THIS picture.  How embarrassing.

But, purrhaps I could star in a kitty toothpaste commercial?

Monday Morning Mews – Selfie Edition

Happy Monday, efurryone! It’s Sundae, reporting today’s mews, and I have an exciting announcement.

I have been practicing selfies!  These were taken one evening last week when I had joined Motor Mommy in her recliner.  We sometimes have a little “snuggle time” there at the end of the day.

This was my first one, and as you can tell, I needed more practice. I cut off my ear! Obviously, that just won’t do. (Can you see Motor Mommy in the background?)

This was my next try. I decided to include Mommy in this one, too:

I was smiling in that one, but Mommy wasn’t, so I had to take one more.

There, that’s much better. I think I could get into this “selfie craze”.  Wonder if Mommy would buy me one of those selfie sticks…?

Monday Morning Mews

Good morning, readers. Dianna here.  Today is Monday, and it’s Sundae’s turn to host Monday Morning Mews.

However, as you can see, we have a bit of a probem.

(clearing my throat)….. Sundae?

Sundae, you need to wake up.  Today is Monday, and you’re supposed to be posting the mews for our readers.

Folks, I’m afraid we’ll have to cancel today’s mews. Our host(ess) seems to be predisposed, occupied, zonked.

Perhaps we’ll have better luck next week when it’s Gypsy’s turn to host Monday Morning Mews.

Monday Morning Mews

Hi, efurryone. Sundae here with the Mews this week.

I’ve always known that Motor Mommy spends quite a bit of time on the computer…between her blog posts, email, Facebook and (still) waiting for April the Giraffe to give birth….well, like I said, she spends a LOT of time looking at the computer monitor.

She and Motor Man purchased an antique oak roll-top desk from her uncle’s estate a few years ago, and that’s where the computer monitor and keyboard are. She also has a collection of tiny oak dressers on the top. (Can you tell she LOVES oak?)

Anyway, sometimes, when she’s sitting there at the computer, I decide she needs my company. I’m not particularly choosy about where I sit. After all, I don’t really need much space.

And I don’t think she really needs to use that hand anyway.
