After Sunday’s rain, early Monday morning was exceptionally beautiful.
Thankfully, I glanced out the window and saw the waiting photo op.
Love that golden hour…
“My” duckies were happy to see me outside taking pictures; they knew breakfast would be served shortly.
Perhaps the rain helps us appreciate a sunny day even more than we otherwise would.
~These Days Of Mine~
I can’t truthfully say that I walk every morning. I can truthfully say that I walk many mornings. During my walk one day last week, I noticed just how beautiful everything was in the golden light, and decided to take along my camera the following morning.
Some days I walk down to the nearby marina. On this particular morning, the marsh grass and boats were highlighted by the rising sun.
This was the view to my right:
And a little further to the right:
The seasons are changing, temperatures are falling. I don’t really want to bundle up in all those layers, the earmuffs, the mittens and go out early for that walk.
But golden hour beckons.
I’ll be back in about thirty minutes.
Saturday morning, I opened the curtains and saw this:
Yes, Bride Swan and Groom Swan. Together. In the golden hour of early morning.
I won’t tell you how many pictures I took. It would be embarrassing.
It’s a good thing they aren’t professional swan models. I wouldn’t be able to afford them.
But I will say this:
Of all the pictures I took that morning,
This is, hands down, my favorite.
(I won’t ask you to choose.)
