Random Five Fall Friday

Last Friday of September, first Friday of fall: I think this calls for five random thoughts:

1.) It’s been a couple of days since I’ve seen a hummingbird; perhaps they’re winging southward. I sure will miss those little flutterers until they return next spring.

2.) Although the calendar says fall, the warm temps still say summer. And this petunia agrees.

3.) Things that make you go hmmmmm. How did that squirrel get that huge black walnut in this hanging basket. Wouldn’t it be fun to have that on video?

4.) It’s been a while since I’ve shared any photos of “my” wild horses at the Outer Banks. So here’s one from a recent trip. This is Valor, a little filly born earlier in the summer.  The Corolla Wild Horse Fund, the organization who oversees the horses, commented on one of their Facebook posts that she just can’t decide what color she wants to be.

5.) Tomorrow is the Autumn Vintage Market on Main Street in our little town.  My friend, Donna, and I are planning to take it all in…followed by lunch. The forecast: “times of sun and clouds, high 79”.  Ah….

Happy Fall, y’all!
