On Wednesday, I posted pictures of the wild horses from our most recent trip to the Outer Banks. And they certainly provided us with many photo ops that day.
But, wait….there’s more!
Although we often see pelicans flying along the shoreline, it wasn’t until a few months ago that we saw them actually on the beach.
When we spotted these two on Sunday, Motor Man stopped, my window came down, and I started taking pics. This one is my favorite.
I still marvel at the fact that they can actually get those huge beaks and wings off the ground.
Where will this weekend take you?

Another great set from the beach !! Your favorite is also my favorite.. Love the wingspan !
We’re staying home for the weekend……Our Thanksgiving away was wonderful but there’s no place like home! Love the pelican photos – I’ve always thought they were CUTE while others thought them rather ugly! 🙂

Beautiful birds, pelicans. We have dear friend that love them. Great shots.
Look at that! You caught some great shots of those pelicans. We still have a house full of kids and grandkids this weekend. It’s been crazy fun!
Back home after Thanksgiving with the ‘grands – GREAT fun, but there is no place like home. The pelicans were great subjects – art gallery worthy!
Spectacular! The brown Pelicans were endangered for si long. I remember when I first saw the line of the huge pelicans flying above when at Kill Devil Hills
Moved to tears by joy. Love the shoreline pics!
