Happy Thursday! Time for poetry again with Pam and her ‘boys’ at Two Spoiled Cats.
They provided us a sweet photo for our inspiration for this week’s poem:
And here is my poem:
Faerie Door
What lies behind this sweet wooden door?
Butterflies, sunshine, bluebirds and more.
A faerie garden, such a delight for the eyes;
Birdbaths and benches, all miniature in size.
In this world, there are green plants so very small,
and faerie-size watering cans to care for them all.
Will faeries visit? We can’t really say.
But what an enchanting place to spend the day.
My friend, Donna, and I had playtime by the river one day years ago with our own little seaside faerie garden.
~These Days Of Mine~
What a lovely, enchanted poem!! And that day at the river was one of my many favorites spent with you!
Admire your poetry venture!!
That’s so sweet. I remember when you talked to me about wanting to do a faerie garden back when it was a popular craft project. Thanks for being one of our regulars on Poetic Thursdays.
Pam
Amazing poem and to add a special time with a dear friend is priceless.
Very nice lines – once again ! the door almost looks like it could be the entrance to a Hobbit hole ; )
Perfect picture to bring back your fairy banner. Great poem – so sweet. Has me wondering what’s behind that door.
I have to agree with Marshall on this one — nice poem and that door does remind me of a Hobbit hole. 🙂
