Poetic Thursday: The Champ

It’s time again for Poetic Thursday with Pam and her boys at Two Spoiled Cats.  Each week, Pam gives us a photo  for inspiration for the following week’s poem. Here is this week’s picture:

And this is my poem:

The Champ

I think cranberries are going to come out of my eyes;
I can’t believe I ate all those pies!

Who knew cranberries had so much juice?
I tried to be careful, but it was no use.

Have you ever seen such a big mess?
This is going to put Mom’s washer to the test.

Yes, I look pretty smug with that silly smile,
but, please! No more cranberries for me for a while.

That was a fun picture to write about.  See you next week for another attempt at poetry.

  3. Oh what fun! You did a great job with your poem this week – I knew when I picked that photo for the poetry challenge it would bring some really FUN poems to read. Thanks for joining us – I knew you’d have a good time with it. I think the photo for next week is really going to bring some interesting poetry.


  4. Too much FUN!!! He even has cranberry juice coming out the soles of his shoes! I’d say he’s full!
