It was a busy, busy weekend for us. In addition to the time change, we also had Halloween, some downtown activities, a race at our local short track and a trip to the Outer Banks. Whew.
Saturday morning, I planned to go to our downtown area for the Pickers Market and Farmers Market. It must be Murphy’s Law that if you’re planning to wear a (witch) hat all day, your hair will just ‘fall into place’ when you style it that morning.
But a plan is a plan, so….

no face ‘jewels’ or makeup this year, just a mask
Motor Man and I have track side parking at the race track, and this is our neighbor, “Pepper”. I always like it when he visits.
It was a late night at the track, so Motor Man and I enjoyed the extra hour of sleep from the time change Saturday night. But we were up early Sunday morning for a day trip to the Outer Banks to see ‘my’ wild horses.
Isn’t this a beauty? (Note: picture was taken with a zoom lens from within our vehicle. We weren’t as close as it would appear.)
And we also witnessed what I like to call a ‘dust-up’ between two stallions. I shared this video with the Corolla Wild Horse herd manager, and she told me the brown horse’s name is Taco.
I love how they settle the disagreement, then just walk on along together and Taco enjoys a big ol’ yawn.
Was your weekend a busy one? Did you enjoy the extra hour of sleep?
