It was a busy, busy weekend for us. In addition to the time change, we also had Halloween, some downtown activities, a race at our local short track and a trip to the Outer Banks. Whew.
Saturday morning, I planned to go to our downtown area for the Pickers Market and Farmers Market. It must be Murphy’s Law that if you’re planning to wear a (witch) hat all day, your hair will just ‘fall into place’ when you style it that morning.
But a plan is a plan, so….

no face ‘jewels’ or makeup this year, just a mask
Motor Man and I have track side parking at the race track, and this is our neighbor, “Pepper”. I always like it when he visits.
It was a late night at the track, so Motor Man and I enjoyed the extra hour of sleep from the time change Saturday night. But we were up early Sunday morning for a day trip to the Outer Banks to see ‘my’ wild horses.
Isn’t this a beauty? (Note: picture was taken with a zoom lens from within our vehicle. We weren’t as close as it would appear.)
And we also witnessed what I like to call a ‘dust-up’ between two stallions. I shared this video with the Corolla Wild Horse herd manager, and she told me the brown horse’s name is Taco.
I love how they settle the disagreement, then just walk on along together and Taco enjoys a big ol’ yawn.
Was your weekend a busy one? Did you enjoy the extra hour of sleep?
~These Days Of Mine~
It was a busy weekend wasn’t it. We had ups and downs – mostly downs – but it’s now Monday and the start of a better week (although the weather today isn’t a good example of “better” !!). I think your track buddy is just adorable – he’s a kisser……LOL. Hope this is a peaceful week for all of us.

You DID have a busy weekend! That extra hour of sleep just didn’t work for me — I was still awake early Sunday morning and couldn’t go back to sleep. 😦
great pics from a whirlwind weekend !! the hour change waited until last night to get me – I got up to let the cat out and looked at the clock expecting it to be a lot later- only 9:30 – back to sleep ……….
Wow, you did have a whirlwind weekend!! You made a very cute witch.
of course I love the horse pics.
You did have a busy weekend. Love the kitty mask with the witch’s hat, cute little dog, and horse encounter. Bought my pansies and am now waiting for a warm after noon when I get home to plant them. Loved turning the clock back. It’s not dark when I leave for work now.
