Poetic Thursday: New Year’s Eve

Closing out 2020 with a poem for Poetic Thursday along with Pam and her kitty boys at Two Spoiled Cats.

Our photo inspiration for this week’s poem:

And here’s my poem:

New Year’s Eve, 2020;
we’re counting our blessings, and they are many.

It’s been a rough year, so much hatred among us;
riots, unrest and that nasty virus.

No noisemakers for us as this year ends,
but a quiet wish for family and friends.

Our prayer is for better days to come
as we welcome in 2021.

Happy New Year to you all!
