Poetic Thursday: Oops!/A Breeze

It’s Thursday, and that means time for poetry with Pam, Angel Sammy and Teddy at Two Spoiled Cats.

Last week, they gave us this photo for our inspiration:

This was such a fun picture, I actually wrote two poems!

Oops

The wind beneath a manhole does blow,
and, at times, creates quite the show.
This reminds us a bit of Marilyn Monroe.
Staged or not: we may never know.

A Breeze

It’s quite a little tease
when an ill-timed breeze
blows your kilt above your knees.

When I first saw this picture, I was struck by how much the  Scotsman resembled my childhood doctor. Appropriately, he was also a native of Scotland, but I don’t know that he ever wore a kilt.

The photo below was shared in his obituary. He passed away last year at the age of 91 from complications of Covid.

I’m sure the above picture would have brought a smile to his face, and in his thick Scottish accent, he would have had something comical to say.
