Continuing with our anniversary week…

Here are a few more facts about our wedding day, February 2, 2002 (02-02-02):

1.) Rather than having a guest book, we provided stationery for our guests to leave us a message/wish/quote/bit of advice.

2.) Our ceremony took place in what’s known as the “ladies chamber” at Bacon’s Castle. My aunt was married in this same room on Christmas Day, 1935.

3.) Marshall escorted me to a recording of Martina McBride’s “Valentine”. (No, I certainly wasn’t frightened or unsure as it would appear in this picture.)

4.) This next photo was taken by our dear friend, Linda, and was one of my favorites from that day.  Motor Man and I were greeting our guests after the ceremony.

5.) During our reception,  I’d asked Motor Man to hold my bouquet while I took some pictures. It seems that several of our guests also captured this same shot. I love the expression on his face as well as Marshall’s.

We have a fun little outing scheduled for today to celebrate, and I plan to share photos next week here on the blog.

Happy Twentieth, Motor Man!
