Poetic Thursday: Gold

As we say good-bye to March (and hopefully hello to spring), today is Poetic Thursday. If you’re new here, we participate each week in this little poetry sharing event with Pam and her ginger kitty-boys, Teddy and Angel Sammy over at Two Spoiled Cats.

They gave us this photo inspiration for this week’s poem:

And here’s my poem:

Gold

A daily event.
His back is bent.

His gaze intent
on that golden glint.

It’s heaven-sent.
It pays the rent.
