It’s the first Thursday in December. We’re sharing poetry today with Pam, Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats.
Before we get to today’s poetry, I wanted to let my readers know that I’m taking a little blogging break next week. The only post I’ll have scheduled will be for Poetic Thursday.
Last week, Pam and her kitties provided us with this photo for our inspiration:
And here’s my poem. (Hopefully I interpreted the photo correctly.)
Be Mindful
Water, water, everywhere, and not a drop she’ll spill;
she’s had years of practice in perfecting this skill.
We’re so spoiled and don’t even think
how easy it is to get water to drink.
We walk to the sink and turn on the tap,
or buy it in bottles and unscrew the cap.
Our lives are so blessed, and things are good,
so let’s be as mindful of that as we should.
~These Days Of Mine~
How true! You made me pause and consider other things that I take for granted.
A very true poem.
Hope you enjoy your break. We’ll be here when you get back.
Wonderful job!!! Never worry about interpreting a photo correctly – it’s one of the magical things about photos – we ALL have our own way of “seeing” what’s in a photo so there’s no such thing as a right way – it’s YOUR way! Thanks for joining in our poetry fun every week…..one of our favorite blog days of the week.
Pam (and Teddy)
We are all very lucky that we have it so easy here.
Sounds good to me ! – I’m now going to pick up this water bottle & have a drink ….
