Today would have been my Mom’s birthday. This is an emotional time of year for me.
April 15 is the anniversary of my sister, Rose’s, murder by her estranged husband (1969). She had mailed a birthday card to Mom that day. Mom received it two days after Rose’s death.
Mom died on May 5, 1995, and Mother’s Day is the following week.
Needless to say, April and May are reserved for memories of my mom and sister.
I found this quote recently:
“My mom smiled at me. Her smile kind of hugged me.” ―
And I think these pictures are perfect for that quote.
How many times I was the recipient of those smile-hugs.
But her smile-hugs weren’t reserved just for me.
Happy Birthday, Mom.
~These Days Of Mine~
Very special Mom and Lady. A smile hug is sent to you from me.
I am so sorry that this was something that happened — I can not begin to
Imagine. I am grateful you can remember the hugs and the happy memories. Thinking of you, my friend.
Memories keep us warm forever.
Pam
I remember them well …
A very nice tribute ..
Smiles, hugs, and much love from our moms are memories that wrap us up like a cozy, warm blanket. And I’m sending you a hug as you navigate your way through April and May.
Your mom is smiling down on you and these beautiful memories. She was a lovely lady.
Cherish the good memories,
