Poetic Thursday: Camper For Two

It’s the first Poetic Thursday of July. This is the photo inspiration provided by our hosts,  Pam, Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats.

And here’s my poem:

Camper For Two

I’m not a camper: too much of a priss,
but I must admit, I kinda like this.

Cute and cozy, built for just two.
This may be the start of something new.

A few days off, and we head out of town.
That night, I’m whispering: “What was that sound?!”.

The next morning, we’re up with the sun,
and a new day’s adventure has begun.

  1. I like it …. & your poem is shaped a bit like a little camper !

  2. I used to camp with a group of friends years ago – regularly in fact. We all would pack up tents and food, etc. and head to the mountains and enjoy a couple of days and nights having fun. I always thought it would be fun to rent a camper but wouldn’t want to own one. This little one in the photo captured my imagination and maybe a little bit of my heart! Good job on your poem though – those mysterious night sounds just might be too much to handle…..!!

A perfect little picture & poem for summer.

  4. Cute little camper and thoughts expressed in your poem to go with it. The ‘bumps in the night’ sounds sent us home while tent camping once. I like my conveniences now!
