Poetic Thursday: Ribbons And Lace

Welcome to the first Poetic Thursday of March.  Our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats, host Poetic Thursday each week, and they gave us this photo for our inspiration for today’s poems.

Here’s mine::

Ribbons And Lace

Let’s dress up these piggies, what could it harm?
But we’ll probably never get ’em back down on the farm.

Since now they’ve experienced a taste
of all those pretty ribbons and lace.

The only mud they’ll want is a facial at the spa,
and those little hooves’ll be doing the cha-cha-cha.

So get ready to show ’em around,
’cause country has definitely come to town.

  1. Awww……that’s a sweet one! These two little ladies (assuming they are females!) look ready to be in a ballet recital in their little tutus……When I took ballet a million years ago we may have looked like a little herd of piggies on stage instead of the prima ballerinas our Moms wanted us to be!! Thanks for playing poetry with us…………..

  2. they can paint the town … pink …. but if I was them, I wouldn’t come to Smithfield !

  3. They’re like no pigs we ever raised on the farm – definitely cuter. Although they’re really cute when they’re just born. Made have a sweet memory. Cute poem.
