We’re starting off the month of May with some poetry with our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy, at Two Spoiled Cats. Each week, they host Poetic Thursday, and we always look forward to playing along.
This is the photo they gave us last week for our inspiration. And I must admit, for most of the week, I really couldn’t come up with a poem. What I ended up with was my first thought when I saw the picture, and it’s a bit silly. But then, so is this dress (imho). The first thing that came to mind was a light bulb.
Here’s my poem:
Light Bulb
So you’re wearing this dress and out on the town,
but what happens if you want to sit down?
Since you’re owning that dress, I know you’ll ‘rock it’,
and if you get tired, just find an empty socket.
And don’t get me started on not being able to use her hands or visiting the ‘facilities’….. silly.

HAHAHA! Angel Sammy went with the lightbulb theme too and I do think it looks like that. Crazy – I have tried to make myself believe this was a fashion show meant to be wacky but if you take a look at what passes for “latest fashion” it’s apparently just the way it is these days! Our mom’s opinion is that it goes beyond silly to ludicrous! Light bulb is a good description for it. Too bad the designer didn’t make it so it would light up! MOL! I was thinking it looks like some fru fru shampoo or conditioner bottle !
My first thought was “Fashion has done it again!” Where would you wear it??? And don’t even get me going on the hair?

Well, that very silly “dress” requires a silly poem for sure (and maybe some common sense for “dress designers.” 😉
