Poetic Thursday: Snack Attack

It’s the last Thursday in May, and as we do most every week, we’re participating in Poetic Thursday with our friend, Pam, and her kitties, Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats.

This is our photo inspiration for today’s poetry:

And here’s my poem:

Snack Attack

Please close that door, I’m about to freeze!
I will as soon as I find the cheese.

If you find it, you’d better put it right back.
But I’m having a midnight snack attack!

“You know Mom won’t be happy with you,
but since you’re in there, grab some for me, too!”

  1. Sounds like a perfectly believable scenario! Good job! I love the photo – cats can do just about anything they set their mind to…………

    Pam and Teddy too

  2. Cute poem. Pam finds such fun photo prompts.

  3. The color-coded speech between the two cats is top-notch – & the 2nd cat folded at the end ……….!

  4. We definitely had a similar approach to our poems. The cats in my poem were just a bit more wordy. I am definitely happy none of my gang are capable of this. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

  5. What a fun poem!

  6. We once had a silly kitty that would climb into the fridge unnoticed. What a surprise to open it later and find the cat sitting on the lowest shelf!

  7. What an imagination! That’s a pair of smart and resourceful kitties.
