As promised, I’m sharing an update on our Gypsy after her surgery yesterday.
Our sweet girl did fine, and, according to the vet staff, she was a very good patient. She had to have three teeth pulled, and a biopsy was done of the place on the inside of her jaw.
We picked her up around 3 in the afternoon, and she was very active in the carrier on the way to our shop (her home). Immediately upon our arrival, she went to her water bowl for a drink (and to soak her paw).
Motor Man and I spent the night with her at the office, and she slept most of the night in my arms. The gabapentin she had in the evening made her a bit wobbly and very sleepy.
She seems to be more active this morning, so we’re hoping that will continue. And we’ll be waiting on the biopsy results in the next week or two.

You know I’ll be hoping for good results from the biopsy……I’m sure her mouth is sore but she has pain meds and really will be sleeping a lot which is good……..

What a good girl Gypsy was. See that cute bandaid on her leg – looks like a Hello Kitty one. Hope she continues to do well and gets an encouraging report.

She was a brave girl and you and Motor Man are good kitty parents to stay with her. Hoping for good results and a quick recovery.
Thank you for the update. It sounds like she’s making the best of the situation. We’re all thinking about her..
